OUR NEXT WALK

The walk schedule to June 2024, come and join us, no need to book, no charge and at the walk leaders discretion, well behaved dogs welcome. Happy walking and looking forward to the sunny days! 

We do not often have to cancel our walks due to bad weather conditions; however, should this be the case, please check the website elhamvalleywalkers.co.uk/our-next-walk/. A notice will be posted 12 hours in advance if the walk leader considers that conditions will not be enjoyable.

Sunday 19th May. Meet at the The Lydden Bell, Lydden CT15 7EX, 10am. Street parking. A circular walk of 6 miles, leaving Lydden and climbing steeply up across the Lydden-Temple Ewell Nature Reserve, before dropping down towards Kearsney Park Abbey and through Russell Gardens – then another steep and quite lengthy climb across farmland back to the start. Tuesday June 4th. Meet 10am, car park, Eggringe Wood, Penny Pot Lane, near Petham. Grid Ref: TR 0970 5040. Nearest postcode: CT4 7HA. Exploring the delights of Eggringe and Denge Woods, semi natural ancient woodland, holding a colony of the elusive Duke of Burgundy butterfly and including Bonsai Bank an area of flower rich chalk grassland situated in Denge Wood, famed for orchids. Sunday 23rd June. Starting from Elham Square, CT4 6TJ, at 1pm (note afternoon start time!) Taking the path to Exted, Wheelbarrow Town and onto Stelling Minnis and the windmill, where a cream tea (cash charge not included) and short tour will be available.
