We do not often have to cancel our walks due to bad weather conditions; however, should this be the case, please check the website elhamvalleywalkers.co.uk/our-next-walk/. A notice will be posted 12 hours in advance if the walk leader considers that conditions will not be enjoyable.
Sunday 18th January. Walk starting at Folkestone harbour, meet 10am outside the old fish market adjacent to the Rocksalt restaurant. We walk towards Hythe, along the Leas into Saltwood then return via the promenade to the harbour. About 4 miles, an easy mud free walk, fresh air and plenty of coffee shops as well. Ps. The sea front walk following recent storms has in some places accumulations of beach stones, we may use short detours but suitable shoes needed.
Sunday 22nd February. Meet 10am at Etchinghill Village Hall CT18 8NQ. Approximately a walk of six miles and about three hours. From Etchinghill over Tolsford Hill to Postling and then following the North Downs Way to Farthing Common, down into Skeet valley and across fields to Woodlands Road returning to Etchinghill via Lyminge.
